Stacie Rivers is a compassionate nonprofit leader, community advocate, and dedicated servant whose life has been shaped by a deep commitment to serving others through faith, compassion, and action. As Treasurer, Executive Director, and Co-Founder of Rivers of Hope Ministries, she oversees the organization’s daily operations while leading programs that provide food, clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, and other essential resources to individuals and families throughout the San Antonio community.
Stacie’s heart for service began long before Rivers of Hope Ministries was founded. During her middle school and high school years, she volunteered countless hours as a Candy Striper at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. It was while volunteering—and later working part-time during college—at Reba’s Ranch House, a hospitality home serving families of hospitalized patients, that she discovered a passion for nonprofit work and the life-changing impact of compassionate service.
Professionally, Stacie has spent more than 20 years helping others through customer support, healthcare services, and technical assistance. Her career includes roles as a Technical Support Master and Pharmacy Claims Specialist, where she developed expertise in communication, problem-solving, and helping individuals navigate complex situations with confidence and care. For the past six years, she has served as a Product Support Specialist IV at Medtronic, supporting patients and healthcare providers by helping ensure access to life-changing medical technology.
In 2020, as communities across the country experienced unprecedented uncertainty and grocery store shelves became empty, Stacie recognized a growing need for food, basic necessities, and financial assistance within her own community. Motivated by her lifelong passion for service and a desire to make a tangible difference, she and her husband, Terry, founded Rivers of Hope Ministries and launched H.O.P.E. (Help Other People Eat). What began as a simple mission to help neighbors in need has grown into a thriving nonprofit organization serving thousands of individuals and families each year through food distributions, clothing assistance, hygiene products, holiday outreach, back-to-school programs, and community partnerships.
At the heart of Stacie’s life and leadership is her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Having experienced His transforming grace firsthand, she understands the power of hope, redemption, and new beginnings. Through Christ’s love, she overcame addiction and despair, discovering a renewed purpose and a calling to serve others. That personal journey continues to inspire every aspect of her work, as she strives to reflect Christ’s love by treating every person with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Today, Stacie remains committed to strengthening communities, empowering volunteers, and creating opportunities for others to experience hope in practical and meaningful ways. She believes that lasting change happens when people come together to serve one another with compassion, generosity, and faith. Through Rivers of Hope Ministries, she continues to dedicate her life to meeting immediate needs while inspiring hope for a brighter future—living out the ministry’s belief that together, we can change the world.
